HISTORY OF NABS SCHOLARSHIP FUND
A group of people holding up red books.

In 1987, the NABAS membership created the NABS Scholarship Fund, an IRS 501(c)(3) organization whose purpose is to provide scholarship assistance and educational opportunities to high achieving African-American youth. The Scholarship Fund has not only provided over $2.3 million in scholarships since 2000 it has also provided mentoring, counseling, internships and job opportunities to many of its outstanding and deserving scholarship recipients.

Recognizing that an investment in our children's education is an investment in our economy and our future, the NABS Scholarship Fund board has worked diligently to help young scholars and their families afford the expense of a college education at many of America's premier institutions of higher learning.
