The 2013 National Association of Black Suppliers (NABS) Scholarship Fund Application is now available at www.NABSSF.org. All applications are due by Saturday March 9, 2013.
The National Association of Black Suppliers (NABS) Scholarship is a stipend of up to $5000 per year for up to five years that can be used for tuition, room and board and fees at a college or university of the awardees’ choice. It is awarded to African-American students who have graduated from high school, demonstrated outstanding academic and community leadership, and plan to enroll full-time in engineering, technology, business, healthcare or related undergraduate curriculum. Interested students, parents and school personnel are encouraged to access the NABS Scholarship Fund website for additional information and detailed eligibility criteria.
The NABS Scholarship Fund has awarded more than $1.2 Million in scholarships to over 130 students. This 24th Annual Scholarship Fund Luncheon raised over $78,500 and awarded six full scholarships, two one-time trendsetter awards, two healthcare awards to deserving students as well as one trendsetter award to a student in New Mexico.
This coming year marks the 25th anniversary of the NABS Scholarship fund. Our silver anniversary celebration, the 25th Anniversary Scholarship Fund Awards Dinner, will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Henry Hotel in Dearborn, Michigan.
About the NABS Scholarship Fund
The NABS Scholarship Fund is a 501c(3) organization started by NABS members dedicated to providing college scholarship assistance to high-achieving high school graduates in southeast Michigan and around the country.
The NABS Scholarship Fund is chaired by Jeanette M. Abraham, President and CEO, JMA Logistics, LLC in Livonia Michigan.
